Privacy Policy

If you don't have an account

You can use the whole site without signing up. Your checklists, garage and map pins are saved only in your browser (localStorage) on that device. We never receive them.

What we collect when you sign up

• Account details: your email address and, if you use email sign-up, a password (stored hashed by our auth provider, never readable by us).
• Discord or Google sign-in: if you choose one, we receive your email, name and avatar from that service. We don't get access to your messages, contacts, files or anything else.
• Profile: anything you add yourself: username, display name, bio, avatar and banner images, accent colour, platform, gamertag or PSN ID, and favourite region and vehicle.
• Progress: your checklists, garage and custom map pins, so they sync across your devices.

What's public

Your profile page (vicemapped.com/u/your-username) is public. It shows your username, display name, bio, images, platform, gamertag and favourites. If you leave “Show my progress on my profile” on, it also shows your completion stats and garage. You can turn that off in your account settings. Your email address and custom map pins are never public.

How we use it

• To run your account, sign you in and sync your progress.
• To show your profile to other players.
• To send account emails you ask for, such as confirming your email or resetting your password.

We don't sell or rent your data and we don't run ads. To see how many people visit and which pages they use, we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you personally. Account and profile pages are excluded.

Who processes it

• Supabase stores accounts, profiles, images and progress on servers in the United States.
• Vercel hosts the website and, like any web host, processes basic request data such as IP addresses to serve pages. Its Web Analytics gives us aggregated visitor counts, top pages, referrers, countries and device types.
• Discord and Google handle sign-in if you choose them, under their own privacy policies.
• State of Leonida (map.stateofleonida.net) serves the map tiles and trailer images, so your browser loads those directly from their servers when you open the map.
• YouTube plays the trailers. Thumbnails load from YouTube's image servers, and the YouTube player (using its privacy-enhanced mode) only loads after you press play.

Cookies and local storage

We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to save your progress and settings. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices

• Edit or remove anything on your profile at any time from your account page.
• Delete your account from the account page. This permanently removes your profile, images and synced progress.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, or ask any question about it, at hello@vicemapped.com.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists, and delete it when you delete your account.

Children

Vicemapped is a companion for a mature-rated game and isn't meant for children. You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your country) to create an account.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes affecting account holders, we'll also let you know on the site.
